Description of the Breed

The Cane Corso is a medium-large dog, with a short coat and a firm, muscular body. Its athletic and elegant form gives him a noble and impressive look and creates the impression of a larger dog than it really is.

The mail reaches the height of 62-70 cm and a weight of 42-54 kg. The females height is between 58-64 cm and its weight is between 38-46 kg. Until not long ago the custom was to cut the tail and the ears, but today this is prohibited by law in many countries around the world, Israel among them.

The Cane Corso has a short and shiny coat in a number of different colors: brown, red (beige), black, blue (grey) or a spotted mixture of the above colors. Under good breeding conditions the Cane Corso can live for about 10 years and we know of a number of dogs who lived a few years more.
